Associated Grammar Schools of Victoria (AGSV)
Established in 1920, the Associated Grammar Schools of Victoria (AGSV) is one of the leading school sporting associations in Australia. The AGSV takes pride in promoting a strong sporting culture within its nine member schools, with over 14,000 students competing in AGSV weekly sporting competitions, championships, junior programs & other activities on offer each year.
Governance
The AGSV is an Incorporated Association which is governed by a Board consisting of the Principals of each member school.
Each school is also represented on the AGSV Sport Coordinators Committee which meets to oversee and review the sporting program for Secondary Students.
AGSV Member Schools with Primary Students are represented on the AGSV Junior School Committee. This committee works together to organise sporting activities throughout the year.
AGSV works together with the APS through a Committee of Delegates and Sport Coordinators from the twelve co-educational schools in the two Associations, to organise the AGSV/APS Girls Competition for secondary students. The position of Chair alternates on a yearly basis between the two Associations.
